Since December 2015, Women’s Aid Leicestershire has been part of a consortium called United Against Violence and Abuse (UAVA), alongside FreeVA and Living Without Abuse (LWA). This consortium delivered all of the domestic abuse and sexual violence services across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
From 1 April 2022, UAVA, as a consortium, will cease; however, the same organisations will continue to deliver the services across the City and Counties without any changes for clients. Alongside an additional organisation, Panahghar, the three existing partners are working together to provide a more streamlined ‘journey’ for each client. The helpline number remains the same and the services can still be accessed in the same way.
